Coronavirus – School closure to most pupils

20 March 2020 (by admin)

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you will undoubtedly know, we have been instructed to close the school to almost all children after today until further notice.

Arrangements for keyworker parents are now in place and our staff have been busy contacting those who made enquires. School otherwise will be closed to all our children and parents.

Parents of children entitled to free school meals have been contacted and informed of the arrangements.

Please note that this is a national closure, as you will have heard in the news, so whilst it is a challenging situation, we are not alone. We will re-open the school fully as soon as we can and will let you know when this will be by sending a jotter notification and via our school website.

Your child’s learning is important to us and we ask that you support your children with their home packs and Purple Mash.

At the moment all school trips, breakfast club, all school events including Year 2 and Year 6 SATs have been cancelled. This is as much as we know at the moment and we appreciate your continued patience as we deal with this ever changing situation.

If you have any questions, our email info@ Netherton.dudley.sch.uk will be monitored while the school is closed and we will endeavour to answer any questions you may have.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my staff, my pupils and parents at Netherton CE Primary School who have demonstrated dedication and resilience with all that has been happening. Please take care and look after yourselves.

Thank you

Mrs L Foxall

Acting Head Teacher
