schools Potentially Opening

15 May 2020 (by admin)

Dear Parents and Carers,

You will have no doubt heard the announcement about schools potentially opening for pupils in Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 6 from 1st June.

The government guidance can be found here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers/reopening-schools-and-other-educational-settings-from-1-june

To help us plan, at this early stage, it is important to gauge your views. From Monday 18th May, we will begin to contact the parents of the year groups affected. Staff in school will be making phone calls to collect your views. They will be asking you whether or not you intend to send your child to school when it re-opens. Whatever your decision, we would much appreciate it if you could help us by explaining the reasons behind your choice.

Our first step is to gather information, review the school site, assess safety aspects and complete our planning for a potential re-opening. Following this, I will be in touch to give more detailed information for parents regarding our plans for opening.
