Power Maths is a high-quality maths mastery programme designed to help children develop a deep and secure understanding of mathematical concepts. Lessons follow a small-steps approach, allowing pupils to build confidence through reasoning, problem-solving and discussion. At Netherton CE Primary School, we use Power Maths alongside the CPA (Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract) approach, enabling children to explore maths using practical resources, visual representations and written methods before applying their learning independently. This helps pupils become fluent, resilient and confident mathematicians.
